SIA Close Protection (TOP UP) Course 8th to 12th December
The December 2025 SIA Close Protection Officer Top Up Course is taught over five days and starts on the 8th and runs right through to the 12th of December 2025
Learners who are attending should be able to work at level 2 and above, in addition must be able to meet the training provider set health and physical requirements for the Close Protection practical elements of the course.
Learners will also need to hold a minimum of a First Aid at Work (3 day) qualification which has no less than 12 months validity prior to the start date of their Close Protection course. Pre-hospital qualifications are not necessary but are encouraged.
All certificates must be provided to the training provider as evidence supporting the pre-requisite requirements of this qualification.
The course starts at 8:30 a.m. daily with a thirty-minute lunch break, prior to the course starting you will be required to complete the online ACT training which forms part of the course, this training consists of two online courses which take around 90 minutes each to complete.

Upon completion of the course and after your exams have been marked, you will receive your certificate, which will allow you to apply for your SIA licence, applying for your licence is relatively straight with a detailed guide on our blog page should you need some help in applying.
